Madagascar’s President, Rajoelina, Survives Assassination Attempt

The Malagasy Public prosecutor’s Office announced that it had foiled an assassination attempt on the President of the Republic of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, and arrested several “foreign and Malagasy” people. Among those arrested are two French, reports AFP.

Among those arrested on Tuesday “as part of an investigation for endangering State Security” are two French people, AFP learned from a diplomatic source.
