We Didn’t Authorize Travel Advisory To Nationals In Abuja – Ghanaian Govt

The government of Ghana has said it didn’t authorize a statement issuing security advice to its nationals residing in Abuja.
This comes after a statement alleged to have emanated from the Ghanaian government’s office went viral on Wednesday, November 16. The purported statement advised Ghanaians against making non-essential travels to Abuja, citing heightened insecurity. The statement went viral weeks after the US and UK also issued a security alert.
In a statement released on Wednesday night November 16, the Ghanaian government said the security alert was not authorized.
