Last updated: 22 August 2026
You can request deletion of your Naija360 account and associated personal data at any time — including if you no longer have the app installed. This page explains how to request it, what is deleted, and what may be retained.
Option 1 — Delete in the app
- Open the Naija360 app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → View full profile → Delete account.
- Confirm the request. Your account is deactivated immediately and deletion is processed as described below.
Option 2 — Request on this page
Don't have the app, or can't sign in? Submit the form below. Give the email or phone number registered to your account so we can find it.
Option 3 — Request by email
You can also email privacy@naija360.ng from the email address on your account (or include the phone number registered to it) with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to verify your identity before proceeding.
What gets deleted
- Your profile and account details (name, phone number, email, password);
- Your device/push tokens and notification settings;
- Your saved location and profile data;
- Personal identifiers linked to the reports you submitted.
What may be retained
For safety, legal and accountability reasons, some information may be kept for a limited period even after your account is deleted:
| Data | Reason | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Incident / emergency records (anonymised where possible) | Safety accountability, dispute resolution, legal obligations | Up to the period required by law |
| Records of false-alarm or abuse enforcement | To prevent repeat abuse of an emergency service | Limited period |
| Financial / transactional records (if any) | Statutory bookkeeping requirements | As required by law |
Timeline
Your account is deactivated immediately on request. Personal data is deleted or anonymised within 90 days, except where a longer retention period is required as described above. Backups are purged on their normal rotation cycle.
