4. Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the bases of: your consent; the necessity to protect your vital interests or those of another person (for example, dispatching help during an emergency); the performance of our Service to you; and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Who we share it with

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data receives protection consistent with the NDPA, including appropriate contractual safeguards.

7. Data retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Incident and safety records may be retained for longer where necessary for safety, dispute resolution, or to meet legal obligations. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. See our Account Deletion page.

8. Your rights

Under the NDPA/NDPR you have the right to: access your data; request correction; request deletion; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). To exercise any right, email privacy@naija360.ng.

Naija360 is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. In an emergency, anyone may use the SOS function to seek help.
